   The ShackLAN-4 antenna switches handle up to eight antennas are are available in single or two radio configurations. Each switch is  capable of handling 1500W. To provide the highest degree of isolation, the 8 antenna ports are split into two groups of four. By connecting antennas for adjacent bands in opposing groups (1-4 or 5-8), you can obtain over 110 db of isolation at 1.8 MHz and over 80 db isolation at 28 MHz. Arrangement of the switching system mechanically prohibits both radios accessing the same antenna.

   We also offer RX antenna switches in both 1x8 and 2x8 configurations. The RX switches use a different relay configuration that allows both radios to access the same RX antenna. This allows two radios to share the same beverage or other receive antenna when operateing on 80M and 160M.

   These switches, as with all our products, are built with high quality components. All RF connectors have teflon insulation and gold plated center pins.  Designed for the wet Pacific Northwest, our rust proof enclosures are made of fiberglass reinforced polyester with stainless steel hinge and latches and fully gasketed cover. With our switches, there is no need to seal your coax connectors as they are out of the weather. The enclosure has mounting flanges at top and bottom for easy wall mounting or hanging on a tower.


   All ShackLAN-4 antenna switches can be controlled manually with the Controllers pictured at right. Commands from these controllers override commands from the UBC-12 Band Decoder and our ShackLAN Control Center software. The manual control boxes are optional because, at Hamation, we don't believe in making you purchase items you don't need. If you plan to control your antenna switches only with our band decoders or control software and do not need the manual controllers you do not have to purchase one. This helps us provide you with the best value in antenna switches.


For those stations with more than one antenna on a band we offer our ShackLAN-4 Control Center software. It is unmatched in flexibility and ease of setup and control. Although primarily designed to run on small touch screen displays, it may also be configured for normal displays.


  For most users with a single antenna per band setting up the switch is quick an easy with our GUI based configuration utility. Simply tell the switch which antenna to use for each band.



Larger stations will appreciate the ease of configuring the switches with the advanced mode utility. This GUI based utility makes routing radio to antennas through multiple switches a simple, straightforward process.
