The ShackLAN Antenna Switches handle up to eight antennas and are available in two or four radio configurations. Each switch is capable of handling 1500W and arrangement of the switching system mechanically prohibits multiple radios accessing the same antenna. These switches, as with all our products, are built with high quality components. All RF connectors have Teflon insulation and gold plated center pins.

Every station is configured a little different so we offer several choices of antenna switch controllers to best fit your needs. Our switches may also be controlled from your computer using our ShackLan Control Center or ShackLan Commander software which may be used with or without any of the switch controllers.

The SI-28 Switch Interface provides a complete interface between all ShackLAN antenna switch controllers and switches from DX Engineering, Ameritron, 4O3A, Array Solutions and others. It provides all the operational features of the ShackLAN switches such as tri-level command system, macro programming, conflict notification, etc. It contains 16 relay contact outputs that may be configured to provide +12, switch to ground or provide a user supplied voltage. All switch connections are made with screw terminals so no special connectors are rquired. Configuration and operation is identical to the ShackLAN 2x8 switches.

2x8 and 4x8 Antenna Switch Installation

After mounting your switch on a wall, tower or in an enclosure, the first step in setting up a ShackLAN Antenna Switch is to connect it to the network. Also be sure you have connected your controller to the network. Instructions for wiring the network connector are here. After you connect the network cable to the connector block, plug it in to the control board, apply power to the controller and verify there is a green blinking LED (Outdoor version only). If not, double check your wiring and verify there is power applied to the controller. Also check to be sure you did not tighten the wire clamps onto insulation and that the wire is inserted between the clamping surfaces.
